The provisions of Section 12504 shall apply to any nonresident who is under the age of 18 years and who is a member of the armed forces of the United States on active duty within this state, except that the maximum period during which such nonresident may operate a motor vehicle in this state without obtaining a driverâs license or a nonresident minorâs certificate shall be limited to a period of 60 days immediately following the entry of such nonresident into this state.
