The State of California accepts the provisions of the Wagner-Peyser Act, approved June 6, 1933, as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-220) passed by the Congress of the United States, and entitled âAn act to provide for the establishment of a national employment system and for cooperation with the states in the promotion of the system, and for other purposes,â in conformity with Section 4 thereof, and will observe and comply with the requirements of that act. The department is the agency of this state for the purposes of that act.
