The board of the county seeking the use, if it accepts the provisions of the ordinance adopted by the board of the county granting the use, may: (a) Construct and maintain any such highway. (b) Construct and maintain on such highway such bridges as it deems necessary. (c) Improve such highway in such manner as it determines. (d) Acquire real property or interests therein adjacent to such highway in an adjoining county for county purposes, and expend thereon such amounts as the board deems necessary for county purposes.
