(a) In the event of amendment or modification of, or annexation to, the boundaries of a community facilities district, an amendment to the Notice of Special Tax Lien shall be prepared and recorded under the procedure of Section 3114.5. In the listing of property owners, the amended notice need only list separately the names of the owners and assessorâs tax parcel numbers of parcels being added to the district and the names of the owners and assessorâs parcel numbers of parcels being excluded from the district. This amendment need not supersede the existing notice. (b) If any proceedings subsequent to the approval by the voters of a special tax pursuant to the Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982, Chapter 2.5 (commencing with Section 53311) of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5 of the Government Code, result in a change in the authorization to levy a special tax or to issue bonds, or a change in the facilities or services authorized to be financed, the clerk of the legislative body shall record an amendment to the original (or, if it has been superseded, the most recent) Notice of Special Tax Lien and any amendments thereto that shall reference the recorderâs serial or document number and recording date of that notice and any amendments to it and shall clearly set forth the changes.
