Each county recorder shall keep all such state highway plans, maps, or drawings filed in separate map books provided by the department for that purpose and each designated âState Highway Map Book No. ____, __________ County.â Each such plan, map, or drawing shall be numbered in the order of filing and indexed in a separate index showing the number and the date of filing.
