(a) On or before September 1, 2004, the Controller shall determine the countywide vehicle license fee adjustment amount, as defined in Section 97.70, for the 2004â05 fiscal year and the vehicle license fee adjustment amount, as defined in Section 97.70, for each city, county, and city and county for the 2004â05 fiscal year, and notify the county auditor of these amounts. (b) On or before October 15, 2005, in consultation with the Bureau of State Audits, the Controller shall determine the amount specified in clause (i) of subparagraph (B) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (c) of Section 97.70 for each city, county, and city and county and notify the county auditor of these amounts.
