Any county, city, county transportation commission, or operator may file claims with the transportation planning agency for rail passenger service operation expenditures and capital improvement expenditures, including construction and maintenance of intermodal transportation facilities. These funds may be used as the entityâs required contribution toward the cost of providing these services or capital improvements.
