For purpose of this chapter, the following definitions apply: (a) âDistrictâ means the Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District, including all operations and extensions of its transportation system, regardless of modality or vehicle type. (b) âEmployee organizationâ means an organization that includes employees of the district and a primary purpose of which is representing those employees in their relations with the district. âEmployee organizationâ also includes any person of an employee organization authorized to act on its behalf. (c) âExclusive representativeâ means an accredited employee organization recognized or certified as the exclusive negotiating representative of employees in an appropriate unit within the district.
