(a) A consumer damaged by a violation of this article by an electric service provider is entitled to recover all of the following: (1) Actual damages. (2) The consumerâs reasonable attorneyâs fees and court costs. (3) Exemplary damages, in the amount the court deems proper, for intentional or willful violations. (4) Equitable relief as the court deems proper. (b) The rights, remedies, and penalties established by this article are in addition to the rights, remedies, or penalties established under any other law. (c) Nothing in this article shall abrogate any authority of the Attorney General to enforce existing law.
