It is the intent of this part that the board of directors of the district shall have a free choice as to officers of the district mentioned in Section 30300 who are not members of the board of directors. At the merger date such officers shall be appointed on a permanent or pro tem basis, in the discretion of the board. Prior to that time, however, the following shall serve as ex officio officers of the district: Secretaryâthe Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. General Managerâthe Chief Administrative Officer of the County of Los Angeles. General Counselâthe County Counsel of the County of Los Angeles. Treasurerâthe Treasurer of the County of Los Angeles. Auditorâthe Auditor of the County of Los Angeles. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is authorized and directed to make available to the district its hearing room and other space, personnel and facilities so that the district can be organized and the transfer of operations be completed in an orderly businesslike manner.
