In the application of said acts to proceedings under this section the terms used in said acts shall have the following meanings: (a) âCity councilâ and âcouncilâ mean board; (b) âCityâ and âmunicipalityâ mean district; (c) âClerkâ and âcity clerkâ mean secretary; (d) âSuperintendent of streetsâ and âstreet superintendentâ and âcity engineerâ mean the engineer of the district, or any other person appointed to perform such duties; (e) âTax collectorâ means county tax collector; (f) âTreasurerâ and âcity treasurerâ mean the treasurer of the public utility district, unless the district elects to use the county treasurer as provided in Section 16036, in which case it is the county treasurer as ex officio treasurer of the district; (g) âRight-of-wayâ means any parcel of land in, on, under or through which a right-of-way or easement has been granted to the district for the purpose of constructing or maintaining or work or improvements which the district is authorized to do.
