(a) The proper county for the commencement of a proceeding for the guardianship or conservatorship of the person of a nonresident of this state is either of the following: (1) The county in which the proposed ward or conservatee is temporarily living. (2) Such other county as may be in the best interests of the proposed ward or proposed conservatee. (b) The proper county for the commencement of a proceeding for the guardianship or conservatorship of the estate for a nonresident of this state is any of the following: (1) The county in which the proposed ward or proposed conservatee is temporarily living. (2) Any county in which the proposed ward or proposed conservatee has property. (3) Such other county as may be in the best interests of the proposed ward or proposed conservatee.
