âProperty of the decedent,â âdecedentâs property,â âmoney due the decedent,â and similar phrases, include property that becomes part of the decedentâs estate on the decedentâs death, whether by designation of the estate as beneficiary under an insurance policy on the decedentâs life or under the decedentâs retirement plan, or otherwise.
