(a) A manufacturer or stewardship organization shall not be liable for a violation of any antitrust, restraint of trade, unfair trade practice, or other anticompetitive conduct arising from conduct undertaken in accordance with this chapter. (b) Notwithstanding any other law, actions undertaken in accordance with this chapter, including the conduct described in subdivision (a), does not violate either of the following acts: (1) The Cartwright Act (Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 16700) of Part 2 of Division 7 of the Business and Professions Code). (2) The Unfair Practices Act (Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 17000) of Part 2 of Division 7 of the Business and Professions Code).
