No person, whether as principal, agent, servant, employee, or otherwise, shall remove the casing or any portion thereof, from any well without first giving written notice to the supervisor or the district deputy of the personâs intention to remove the casing from the well. The notice shall be given at least 10 days before the proposed removal. The supervisor or the district deputy shall, before the proposed date of removal, furnish the person with a written report of approval of the personâs proposal, or a written report stating what work shall be done before the approval will be given. If the supervisor or the district deputy fails to give the person a written report within the specified time, that failure shall be considered an approval of the proposal to remove the casing, and the proposal shall, for the purposes and intents of this chapter, be deemed a written report of the supervisor or the district deputy. Within five days after the completion of the removal, the person shall make, in the form as the supervisor or district deputy may direct, a written report, in duplicate, of all work done in connection with the removal.
