As used in this chapter: (a) âAgencyâ or âofficeâ means the Office of Emergency Services. (b) âCommissionâ means the Seismic Safety Commission. (c) âLocal jurisdictionâ means a city, county, or district. (d) âPreparednessâ means long-term preearthquake hazard mitigation, reconstruction, and recovery planning and preparation for emergency response.
