As used in this article, the following terms have the following meanings: (a) âCommercial refrigerationâ means a refrigerator that is not a federally regulated consumer product. (b) âEnergy-efficient modelâ means any appliance that meets the efficiency standards of the United States Department of Energy that are effective on and after July 1, 2001, and, if applicable, products certified as energy efficient zone heating products by the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission. (c) âSmall businessâ means any small business as defined in paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Section 14837 of the Government Code.
