The Department of Corrections shall implement, by January 1, 2002, a course of instruction for the training of parole officers in California in the management of parolees who were convicted of stalking pursuant to Section 646.9. The course shall include instruction in the appropriate protocol for notifying and interacting with stalking victims, especially in regard to a stalking offenderâs release from parole.
