(a) It shall be unlawful to knowingly or recklessly provide a false or misleading certification that a firearm is microstamping-enabled, as defined in Section 27531. (b) If a court determines that any person or entity has violated this section, the court may award either or both of the following: (1) Civil penalties in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each firearm in violation. (2) Injunctive relief sufficient to prevent the person or entity from further violations of this section.
