As used in this article: (a) âPublic entityâ means and includes the United States, the state and any county, city, public corporation, or public district of the state, and any department, entity, agency, or authority of any thereof. (b) âPrivate corporationâ means and includes any private corporation organized under the laws of the United States or of any state.
