A person who has been separated from the military service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of a lawfully appointed court-martial for trial and punishment for offenses committed during his military service. If such person is found guilty, he shall be punished according to the Articles of War and the rules and regulations of the United States Army within the limits prescribed by this division and the Federal law for courts-martial of the National Guard.
