Every contractor on a construction project, including but not limited to any public works, shall maintain adequate emergency first aid treatment for his employees. As used in this section, âadequateâ shall be construed to mean sufficient to comply with the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (P.L. 91-596).
