As used in this chapter: (a) âEmployeeâ includes the person injured and any other person to whom a claim accrues by reason of the injury or death of the former. (b) âEmployerâ includes insurer as defined in this division. (c) âEmployerâ also includes the Self-Insurersâ Security Fund, where the employerâs compensation obligations have been assumed pursuant to Section 3743.
