(a) It is the intent of the Legislature that California workers have a strong understanding of their rights as workers, as well as their constitutional rights. (b) It is further the intent of the Legislature to equip workers with knowledge of their rights that they can also use to protect their families, neighbors, and communities at a time of potential disruption, dislocation, and fear for many Californians.
