(a) As used in this chapter, âsurplus line advisory organizationâ shall mean the organization authorized to perform the duties delegated by the commissioner under this chapter and to exercise the authority incidental thereto. (b) All references in this chapter to âadvisory organizationâ shall mean âsurplus line advisory organization.â (c) As used in this chapter, the term âsurplus line lawâ shall refer to Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 1760). (d) All references in this chapter to the âcommissionerâ shall mean the Insurance Commissioner of the State of California.
