Insofar as the reduction of any original benefit on account of age of the insured is concerned, a noncancellable policy may be approved if such reduction does not exceed that permitted by Section 10291.5(b)(9), or if the only such reduction is one having the effect of reducing the limit of the period for which benefits for loss of time resulting from total disability will be paid to a period ending on the date on which the insuredâs right to continue the policy in force expires and if the policy also provides that such limit shall not in any case be less than 12 months.
