âSubsidyâ means any financial assistance specifically provided by a governmental agency for the benefit of persons and families of low or moderate income, which is paid to an occupant of housing financed pursuant to this part for housing costs or which reduces such occupantâs housing costs. âSubsidyâ shall not include any benefit resulting from a loan made by the agency nor any benefit derived from the abatement of taxes levied by the state or a political subdivision thereof.
