In the case of a class âAâ or class âAAâ citation issued to a long-term health care facility which is appealed, the citation shall expire and have no further legal effect, if the Attorney General has not filed an action in the court of competent jurisdiction, within one year from the date the facility notifies the State Department of Public Health of its intent to contest the citation in court.
