(a) Each licensed skilled nursing facility shall, when requested by a member of a patientâs family, allow the family to meet privately with a family member who is a resident in the facility. (b) âFamily memberâ for the purposes of this section means an immediate family member or family member designated and documented on the patientâs record at the time of admission to the facility.
