(a) A person that violates this article shall be subject to an injunction and liable for a civil penalty of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more than seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) for each violation, which shall be assessed and recovered in a civil action brought in the name of the people of the State of California by the Attorney General. (b) Notwithstanding any other law, the Attorney General shall be entitled to specific performance, injunctive relief, and other equitable remedies a court deems appropriate for enforcement of this article and shall be entitled to recover attorneyâs fees and costs incurred in remedying each violation.
