In setting personnel standards for licensed health facilities pursuant to Section 1276, the department may set such standards itself or may adopt them by reference to named standard-setting organizations. If the department adopts standards for a category of health personnel by reference to a specified organization, the department shall either: (a) List in the regulation the education, training, experience, examinations, or other requirements set by the specified organization; or (b) Retain on file and available for public inspection a listing of the education, training, experience, examinations, or other requirements set by the specified organization; or (c) Have direct statutory authority or requirement to use the standards of the specified organization.
