(a) There is hereby established in the State Treasury the Health Care Affordability Fund for the purpose of receiving and expending revenues collected pursuant to this chapter. This fund is subject to appropriation by the Legislature. (b) All moneys in the fund shall be expended in a manner that prioritizes the return of the moneys to consumers and purchasers. (c) The office may identify any opportunities to leverage existing public and private financial resources to provide technical assistance to health care entities and support to the office. Any private or public moneys obtained may be placed in the Health Care Affordability Fund, for use by the office upon appropriation by the Legislature.
