(a) The office shall be responsive to requests for additional information from the Legislature, including providing testimony during hearings and commenting on proposed legislation or policy issues. (b) The Legislature finds and declares that activities, including, but not limited to, responding to legislative or executive inquiries, tracking and commenting on legislation and regulatory activities, and preparing reports on the implementation of this chapter and the performance of the office, are necessary state requirements.
