(a) When a primary or temporary enclosure is being cleaned in a manner, or with a substance, that is or may be harmful to the animals within the enclosure, those animals shall be removed from the enclosure. (b) Primary enclosures shall be observed at least once daily, and animal and food wastes, used bedding, debris, and any other organic wastes shall be removed as necessary to prevent contamination of the animals and to reduce disease hazards and odors. (c) Pest control measures shall be implemented to effectively control infestation of vermin, insects, or other pests.
