The department may require proof as it deems advisable concerning the honesty, truthfulness, and good reputation of the applicant for a brokerâs or salespersonâs license or of the officers of any corporation making application before the issuance of a brokerâs license. For this purpose, the director may call a hearing in accordance with this article, and at the request of the applicant shall call a hearing.
