The state shall have no liability arising from the project and its operation, and shall have no operational or maintenance responsibility for the project. The grantee shall guarantee performance in carrying out the project as âperformanceâ is defined by the Legislature and as represented to the granting state agency. The grantee shall maintain adequate insurance to recover the stateâs investment in the event of loss.
