âElection cycle,â for purposes of Sections 85309 and 85500, means the period of time commencing 90 days prior to an election and ending on the date of the election. For purposes of the Board of Administration of the Public Employeesâ Retirement System and the Teachersâ Retirement Board, âthe date of the electionâ is the deadline to return ballots.
