(a) The sheriff shall be the appointing authority for all court services division positions and employees. (b) Selection, appointment, and removal of chiefs of the court services division shall be made by a majority vote of the incumbent superior court judges and commissioners from a list of qualified candidates submitted by a committee comprised of the sheriff and an incumbent judge of the superior court.
