(a) The fee for filing a petition for review in a civil case in the Supreme Court after a decision in a court of appeal is five hundred forty dollars ($540). (b) The fee for a party other than petitioner filing its first document in a civil case in the Supreme Court after a decision in a court of appeal is three hundred ninety dollars ($390). (c) A fee may not be charged for petitions for review from decisions in juvenile cases or proceedings to declare a minor free from parental custody or control or proceedings under the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (Part 1 (commencing with Section 5000) of Division 5 of the Welfare and Institutions Code).
