Commencing on July 1, 2024, all references to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research throughout the published laws of the State of California shall henceforth be deemed to be references to the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation, except as referenced in the act adding this section amending the codes otherwise. Notwithstanding this provision, and other provisions of the act adding this section, the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation may continue to receive funds and operate grants and contracts under the name Governor’s Office of Planning and Research through 2029. To the extent feasible, the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation shall commence use of that name as soon as the act adding this section becomes operative, but no contract, grant, or other agreement shall be void or unenforceable simply because the name the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research is utilized.
