(a) The board of supervisors may elect to pay up to one-half of the contributions normally required of members for any period of time designated in the resolution providing for such payment. The payments shall not become part of the accumulated contributions of the member. These payments may be made with respect to employees in one or more bargaining units irrespective of whether they are made with respect to other employees. (b) This section shall not apply to members who are subject to Section 7522.30.
