In the event the participant dies without a valid beneficiary designation on file, any balance remaining in the participantâs account shall be payable to the participantâs survivors in the following order: (a) The participantâs spouse. (b) The participantâs natural or adopted children. (c) The participantâs parents. (d) The participantâs estate.
