In the event the participant dies without a valid beneficiary designation on file, or if no designated beneficiary survives the participant, any balance remaining in the participantâs account shall be payable to the participantâs survivors in the following order: (a) The participantâs spouse. (b) The participantâs natural or adopted children. (c) The participantâs parents. (d) The participantâs brothers and sisters. (e) The participantâs estate.
