âFamily memberâ means an employeeâs or annuitantâs spouse or domestic partner and any child, including an adopted child, a stepchild, or recognized natural child. The board shall, by regulation, prescribe age limits and other conditions and limitations pertaining to children. âFamily memberâ does not include a former spouse or former domestic partner of an employee or annuitant.
