(a) Each state agency is responsible for an effective equal employment opportunity program. The equal opportunity program shall include a reasonable accommodation policy. (b) The department shall be responsible for statewide advocacy, coordination, enforcement, monitoring of the programs described in subdivision (a), and the development of model policies, including a model policy on reasonable accommodation.
