Notwithstanding Section 13900, whenever the term âCalifornia Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board,â the term âCalifornia Victim Compensation Boards,â or the term âState Board of Controlâ appears in any statute, regulation, contract, or any other code with respect to the statutory powers and duties of the Department of General Services described in Section 14659, they shall be construed to refer to the Department of General Services unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
