For the purposes of this article, the following definitions shall apply: (a) âCounty commissionâ means the Los Angeles County Tourism Marketing Commission. (b) âCounty commissionerâ means a commissioner of the county commission. (c) âCounty selection committeeâ means the Los Angeles County Tourism Selection Committee described in Section 13995.102. (d) âIndustry categoryâ means the classifications within the tourism industry designated by the county selection committee, or if not so designated, then as follows: (1) Accommodations. (2) Restaurants and retail. (3) Attractions and recreation. (4) Transportation and travel services. (e) âReferendumâ means any vote by mail ballot of measures recommended by the county commission in accordance with the procedure set forth in Section 13995.110.
