(a) The Resources Agency succeeds to and is vested with all the duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction vested in the Health and Welfare Agency in respect to the Office of Atomic Energy Development and Radiation Protection, which, by Section 12803, is renamed the Office of Nuclear Energy and transferred to the Resources Agency. The Secretary of the Resources Agency succeeds to and is vested with all the duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction vested in the Administrator of the Health and Welfare Agency in respect to the Office of Atomic Energy Development and Radiation Protection. (b) Any reference to the Health and Welfare Agency or to the administrator of that agency in any law pertaining to the Office of Atomic Energy Development and Radiation Protection or the Office of Nuclear Energy shall be considered a reference to the Resources Agency or to the Secretary of the Resources Agency, as the case may be, unless the context otherwise requires.
