Whenever this article requires court approval of any step in the liquidation proceedings, approval shall be given after a hearing upon notice as the court may direct. At the hearing, the court may by order approve the actions of the commissioner for which he or she has petitioned the courtâs approval or it may, by appropriate order, otherwise direct the commissioner in the matter in connection with which the petition was filed.
