Except as otherwise provided in Chapter 14 (commencing with Section 31950) of this division: (a) The provisions of the Nonprofit Corporation Law (Division 2 (commencing with Section 5000) of Title 1 of the Corporations Code) shall apply to any licensee which is a California nonprofit corporation; provided, however, that, whenever any provision of the Nonprofit Corporation Law conflicts with any provision of this division or of any regulation or order issued under this division, such provision of the Nonprofit Corporation Law shall not apply and such provision of this division or of such regulation or order issued under this division shall apply. (b) The provisions of the General Corporation Law (Division 1 (commencing with Section 100), Title 1 of the Corporations Code) shall apply to any licensee other than a licensee which is a California nonprofit corporation; provided, however, that, whenever any provision of the General Corporation Law conflicts with any provision of this division or of any regulation or order issued under this division, such provision of the General Corporation Law shall not apply and such provision of this division or of such regulation or order issued under this division shall apply.
